September is going to the Dogs!

September has been renamed “Puptember”. We love our canine friends and celebrate them all year; however, we wanted to make a whole month just for them! This month, give your dog the gift of health.

September Drawings and Giveways

This month we are having drawings for the following:

  • a 17.6 lbs dry or case of cans of Royal Canin prescription diet of choice
  • Either a bag of TD dry or Hills prescription diet of choice

Free Giveaways

We are giving away dog water bottles all month. Call us to schedule an appointment for your pet and pickup one of these free water bottles.

World Rabies Day

September 28 is World Rabies Day, a global health observance started in 2007 to raise awareness about the burden of rabies and bring together partners to enhance prevention and control efforts worldwide. World Rabies Day is observed in many countries, including the United States.
Rabies remains a major concern worldwide, killing tens of thousands of people every year. In the United States, one to two people die annually and there were more than 4,900 reported cases of animal rabies in the U.S. in 2016.

What can YOU do? Vaccinate your animals and keep them away from wildlife that can spread the disease. Rabies is 100% preventable. According to Dr. Charles Rupprecht, former chief of the rabies program at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Your local veterinarian plays a key role in controlling rabies.”
