Whether routine vaccines and preventative care, or urgent care…the team always provides the best responsible care, discussed and agreed with client. Importantly they off great senior care for dogs. And when the time is necessary the most compassionate end of life care. Even after normal hours. Dr. Mitchell is a specialist in dental care as well as all other aspects of veterinary care. “Moving from another state, I was willing to drive 2.5 hours round trip to take my fluff to his vet. Then I met the staff at Hockessin. Dr. Anthony is so calming (for me– I totally freak out over the littlest things) and so gentle with our fur babies! Amy is our requested tech, however everyone is so nice. The prices are reasonable, however the service is exemplary! When our best member had to go in got a spade, they updated us during each stage, and even we picked her up she was snuggled in blankets, not in a cage– instantly elevated our fears. I highly recommend this vet hospital to anyone in the area!”

“We’ve been entrusting our dogs to the team at Hockessin Animal Hospital for 20 years. They’ve always demonstrated a combination of expertise, service and compassion that’s hard to find these days. Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Anthony now take care of our girls on a routine basis and it’s a comfort to have the 24/7 emergency care available at their Windrest ‘home base’ when needed. While that’s been rare we had a need to bring a dog in for emergency care this past week and everything from the contact free access to the state of the art care Dr. Dawkins provided were much appreciated. The staff was AMAZING, and Dr. Anthony even found a cancerous tumor on Izzy which had been missed initially by her primary in WV.
