Vaccinations for Dogs
- DHPP: Prevents distemper, adenovirus (hepatitis), parainfluenza, and parvovirus.
- Leptospirosis: Helps prevent Leptospirosis bacteria, which can also cause disease in people.
- Lyme: Helps prevent Lyme disease. Since our area has one of the highest rates of exposure, this vaccination is an important one to consider.

- Feline Leukemia: Recommended for all cats that go outdoors and in some multi-cat households.
- Rabies: Required by law. Rabies is nearly always fatal in animals and humans.
Heartworm Prevention For Cats & Dogs
Spread by mosquitoes, heartworms cause damage to the heart and lungs and are life-threatening to both dogs and cats. We recommend year-round heartworm prevention via giving monthly medication to dogs and cats.
Wellness Testing For Pets
In addition to wellness care, we also provide wellness testing to keep your pet happy and healthy. Our wellness testing services are listed below.
Intestinal Parasite Testing
Pets are vulnerable to getting intestinal parasites, a source of disease in not only dogs and cats but also in the people who care for them. The four most common parasites affecting pets are roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms.
With fecal testing for parasites two times per year, we can diagnose, treat, and prevent the parasites your pet may come in contact with. The monthly medication used to prevent heartworm disease also helps prevent parasites.
Wellness Blood work
- Blood work (including CBC, Chemistry, and Thyroid) is essential for gauging the condition of your pet’s internal organs.
- A CBC (complete blood count) provides information to detect anemia, infection, abnormal blood cells, and blood-borne parasites.
- A Chemistry Screen evaluates the liver, kidneys, and other organs. With a Chem Screen, we review electrolytes, blood proteins, and glucose to monitor for the onset of diabetes.
- A Thyroid Screen assesses the possibility of an underactive or overactive thyroid gland.
